Abstract

Samenvatting

Deze experimentele studie met een 2 (body size: gemiddeld gewicht vs. overgewicht) x 2 (leeftijd: 18-25 jaar vs. 35-42 jaar) -design laat zien dat blootstelling aan socialmedia-influencers met overgewicht leidt tot meer lichaamstevredenheid onder vrouwen dan blootstelling aan influencers met een gemiddeld gewicht. Dit effect is sterker voor vrouwen van 35-42 jaar dan voor vrouwen van 18-25 jaar.
