From research subject to case; a matter of reasoning!? From research subject to case; a matter of reasoning!? Many researchers have a cognitive problem in connecting an abstract research theme to concrete cases. The authors demonstrate a scheme of stepwise reasoning to overcome this gap. This scheme may be helpful in choosing cases for empirical research as well as understanding the logic of case selection.
