Plezier in poëzie. Handboek poëzieanalyse voor de internationale neerlandistiek

Gedichten worden vaak als (te) moeilijk ervaren. Het vergt wat kennis en oefening om er plezier aan te beleven. En plezier in het lezen van gedichten is precies wat deze inleiding in de poëzie wil bevorderen. Docenten Judit Gera en Jos Kleemans hebben hun boek in de eerste plaats geschreven voor buitenlandse studenten die Nederlands leren, maar het is een aanrader voor iedereen met belangstelling voor poëzie.

Het boek behandelt enkele theoretische en vooral praktische aspecten van poëzieanalyse. Een stappenplan, een woordenlijst en een reeks van uitdagende vragen bij de gedichten zijn als hulpmiddelen bij het lezen opgenomen. In het tweede deel van het boek staan per gedicht uitgewerkte analyses, die in dialoog tot stand zijn gekomen. Ze zijn bedoeld als aansporing tot kritiek daarop en tot het opnieuw lezen van de gedichten. Er wordt aandacht besteed aan vrouwelijke en mannelijke, Nederlandse en Vlaamse dichters, met verschillende culturele achtergronden.
