Samenvatting

Lokale media staan onder druk en dat geldt zeker voor de gratis verspreide, papieren huis-aan-huisbladen. Om hiervan de democratische consequenties te wegen, is systematisch onderzoek naar de inhoud van deze bladen noodzakelijk. Deze inhoudsanalyse toont aan dat het aandeel (politiek) nieuws laag is maar dat huis-aan-huisbladen in plaats daarvan een rijk aanbod van content over de lokale leefgemeenschap bieden.
