This first commentary in a new, non-technical series is a very helpful contribution on the Gospel of Mark. Rather than engaging in discussion with other authors, LePeau interprets the text of the Gospel, but his emphasis is heavily on the influence of the Old Testament and on discipleship. For that reason the books will be an excellent counterpart to a more all-round commentary.
