Amsterdam University Press has a growing a list of Diamond Open Access journals that provide immediate open access to content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge (Creative Commons Attribution License).
For publication in diamond open access journals, no contribution by the author is obligatory and authors keep the copyright to their works.
Funding for the publication comes from a variety of funders, information on which can be found on the journal pages. A growing number of our OA journals are published under the Subscribe to Open (S2O) model. S2O works on the principle that subscribers to journals maintain their subscriptions to a journal while the digital content of the journal is available in full and immediate open access. For more information on this model, please see the information pages on the website of the Subscribe to Open Community of Practice.
